Women’s Sailing 2015
Welcome to the PYC Women’s Sailing web page. We’re all about enjoying time with friends; both on the water and off. We welcome beginners through competent sailors, as there are opportunities for all!
Please read through the list of activities for the upcoming summer and join us!
Big Boat Cruising
skippers of the club’s larger boats take members out for an afternoon sail. The trips are determined by the winds and the tides. Participants have the opportunity to help with the lines and take the helm, or just relax and enjoy the summer breeze.

Inter Club Supper Series
These events are held on five Monday evenings, rotated among PYC, Black Rock, Norwalk, Noroton and indian harbor. The purpose of the evening is to get members to participate in some social sailing with women from the other clubs. The host club provides a light supper, with the traveling clubs bringing wine to share.

Monday evening racing in ideals
july - August, women will get together for casual and "lightly competitive" racing. We will pair up experienced racers as skippers (must be an I 18 registered program member to skipper) with crews looking for more practice and skills. This will be followed by wine and a light potluck picnic on the porch. You do not need to be a One Design member to crew in this program.
Wine and Cheese
These events were very popular last year. They are designed as a “drop in” event where members/guests are asked to bring either a drink or an hors d’oeurve to share. Dress is casual, so either coming directly from work or just off the boat, don’t miss the fun.
